Frequently Asked Questions

At our clinic, we operate under the direct care model, which means we work directly for our patients—not insurance companies. Unlike traditional clinics that rely on quick visits and insurance billing, we offer longer appointments, same-day access, and a strong focus on the root causes of conditions like insulin resistance, obesity, and type 2 diabetes. You’ll have a direct relationship with your provider, personalized care plans, and ongoing support to truly reverse disease—not just manage symptoms. We prioritize prevention, lifestyle, and nutrition in a way that most conventional practices simply don't have the time or flexibility to offer.
-
We don’t bill insurance directly—and that’s by design. By cutting out insurance, we’re able to offer longer visits, transparent pricing, and truly personalized care focused on reversing disease, not just managing it. However, we do provide superbills upon request, which you can submit to your insurance company to potentially receive out-of-network reimbursement, depending on your plan. You can also use your insurance for things like labs, medications, or specialist referrals when needed. Our goal is to keep your care straightforward, affordable, and centered around your health—not insurance paperwork.

Our primary focus—and where patients see the most value—is in our membership packages. These are designed to provide ongoing, personalized care through regular visits, direct access to your provider, and a root-cause approach to health. This continuous relationship is essential for making real, lasting progress.
That said, we understand some patients may be looking for targeted support. For that reason, we offer a limited number of stand-alone services outside the membership, including thyroid and bio-identical hormone replacement therapy, one-time annual metabolic consults, MICC-B injections, red light therapy, and body sculpting with the T-Shape 2. These services are ideal for specific needs but don’t include the comprehensive care and follow-up that comes with our packages.
For the best results and long-term success, we strongly recommend our membership model. -
Our membership packages include point-of-care testing done in the clinic—such as urinalysis, EKGs, and strep tests—but they do not include blood work that requires phlebotomy or any outside lab fees. We can order comprehensive lab panels as needed, but the cost for those will be billed separately by the lab or paid out of pocket, often at discounted cash rates.
We also don’t dispense medications directly. If a prescription is needed, we’ll send it to your preferred pharmacy. While prescriptions are not included in the membership fee, we always aim to prescribe cost-effective options and can help you navigate savings programs when available.
That said, one of our core goals is to help patients reduce their reliance on prescription medications by addressing the root causes of metabolic dysfunction. Through personalized lifestyle strategies, nutritional support, and ongoing care, we aim to improve or even reverse conditions like insulin resistance, obesity, and type 2 diabetes—so that medications become less necessary over time. -
If imaging is needed—such as an X-ray, ultrasound, or MRI—we’ll provide an order and send it to the imaging center of your choice. You’re welcome to use your insurance to cover the cost, or opt for cash pay if that’s more affordable for you. We can also help you find high-quality imaging centers with transparent pricing if needed.

If you need to be hospitalized, your care will be managed by the hospital’s in-house team, often called hospitalists. These are providers employed by the hospital who specialize in inpatient care. While we don’t admit or manage patients directly in the hospital, your provider remains available to consult with the hospitalist team if needed or requested. We’re also here to support you before, during, and after your hospital stay to ensure continuity of care and a smooth transition back to outpatient management.

Yes. Our packages automatically renew each month, and you may cancel at any time with a 30-day written notice.
Please note that if a scheduled payment falls within that 30-day notice period, it will still be processed and remain due. After your notice period ends, your package will be canceled and no future payments will be charged.
For your convenience, packages can be paid through CareCredit or by making monthly payments directly to Clear Path Medical.
-
If you decide to cancel your package, simply provide us with a 30-day written notice. During that notice period, you’ll continue receiving the same personalized care and support you’ve come to expect from Clear Path Medical.
Once your notice period has ended, your membership will conclude, and no future payments will be charged. If you choose to continue your care with another provider, we’re happy to help make the transition as smooth as possible by providing your medical records upon request.

Not at all! Our approach focuses on whole foods and adequate protein, tailored to your individual needs. While all clients find that reducing refined and processed carbohydrates helps improve their metabolic health, we don’t prescribe a one-size-fits-all plan. You won’t be required to follow a keto or all-meat diet unless it's the best fit for you. We’ll work closely with you to develop an eating style that supports your health. Every journey is unique, and we’re here to guide you toward the best approach for your body.
